Mexico, Dec. 30 (Notimex) .- Artificial tears are the best solution for dry eye syndrome, which is incurable and has multifactorial origin.

Drugs, air conditioners, the use of electronic devices, autoimmune diseases, hormonal changes and some characteristics of the eye environment, are some of the factors that produce dry eyes.

There are three main dry eye types: for lack of water, for decreased tear production and dry evaporation.

Although they usually appear for the first time in adults over 40 and are more common in postmenopausal women, dry eye symptoms can occur at any age.

Dry eyes can also be caused by a viral, systemic or local immune system, including Sjörgen's syndrome.

There are artificial tears that relieve symptoms of various types of dry eyes (evaporation or poor quality of tears), for better coverage and wider protection.

Symptoms, usually, dryness, uncomfortable eyes, redness, sensitivity to light, feeling of having trash and blurred vision.
