Disclose the identity of the person who died and report the injured

Authorities in the Los Ríos region revealed the identities of three people who died this morning on Route 5 South, at the top of San José de la Mariquina, Los Ciruelos sector, where 45 people were injured, one of them serious.

Three fatal victims were identified as Rigoberto Muñóz and Luzinda Santibañez, who lived in the Lanco commune, and the Pirihueico bus driver, Ricardo Carrasco, with a residence in the city of Melefquén.

On the other hand, from the address of the Valdivia Regional Hospital, the health conditions of the 10 remaining people at the health center were announced, where one of them was in serious condition.

According to medical reports, 35 people were discharged from Lanco and Santa Elisa hospitals, leaving only the injured in Valdivian hospitals, who experienced polyontusions, fractures and frontal lesions.

The age of the wounded fluctuates between 11 and 73 years, and is not ruled out that in the next few hours some of them will be referred to their homes.

It is worth mentioning that road collisions occur between special bus temporary workers, commercial passenger engines, trucks and cars, a situation that might be caused by traditional fishing demonstrations around the place.

"Products were cut off on routes, fire and smoke. Some people got off the bus and a truck hit them, resulting in the deaths of three people and more than 30 others injured," he said after arriving at the crash site in Los River, César Asenjo.
