Digital Today – Thousands of people go to stores for Black Friday; executives happy with sales

Thousands of people yesterday took advantage of a price reduction of between 10 and 75% for Black Friday or Black Friday that offers shopping stores and other businesses in Greater Santo Domingo.
Contrary to previous years, the buyer flow was lower yesterday, because there was "PreFriday", which is used by people to buy goods with less stress.
Shopping centers such as oragora, Galeria 360, Megacentro and Distribuidora Corripio on John F. Kennedy Avenue and Plaza Lama on 27 de Febrero Avenue, recorded a permanent flow of people since they opened their doors.

The consulted store executives highlighted that Black Friday sales would exceed more than 15% last year and that the offer was tempting.
Lorenzo Lantigua, Sales Operations Manager at Distribuidora Corripio on John F. Kennedy Avenue, reported that Thursday's sales were very good and yesterday's sales would end the same way.
"There are discounts that go up to 35 to 60%. The goal is to exceed between 20 and 25% of sales last year and we will comply," he said.
The best-selling products are televisions, refrigerators and stoves.
Sharlin Tejada, deputy manager of Jumbo Avenue Luperon, said they had a 40% discount in the field of textiles and equipment and certain offers were applied with credit cards.
"We have planned that sales increase 15% in relation to 2017. We hope to exceed expectations, because we see a good flow," he said.

The most popular items are clothes, followed by television, washing machines and fans.
Romina Vásquez, public relations leader Grupo Ramos, said that "we have very good discounts in the field of electrical equipment, as well as clothing, footwear, fashion, food, and bazaars."
He pointed out that a 40% discount remained on all clothing, shoes and underwear, and a 50% discount on items chosen for men, women and children.

Pablo Alonso, general director of Plaza Lama's electrical equipment on February 27, stressed that until noon sales were very active and they had to open stores before the time set by a large number of people who rose early.
"More than 60% discount, 45% from the Old Plaza in the selected item plus 15% with the Bank of Reserves card," he said.
At Agora Mall square, discounts reach up to 70%. At Casa Cuesta there is a 40% discount on blenders, toasters, microwaves, electric ovens, coffee makers, and irons. At Claro, it offers a 60% discount on certain cellphones.
While in Gallery 360 they have discounts of up to 70% in their stores.
At Blue Mall, discounts range from 10 to 80%. Piruleta and Barone have up to 70% in selected merchandise.
Pro Consumer staff are placed in several shops, while a military presence is observed at the Plaza.
