Cancer deaths reach historical records in Chile

During the last years in Chile, especially between 2013
and 2015, the death rate from cancer showed an increase of 139 cases per 100
thousand residents in 2013, to 143 in 2015; according to the latest figures
managing the Ministry of Health (Minsal).

According to the La Tercera slogan, during the first reign of Sebastián
Piñera, projected to reduce cancer death rates to 97 cases

development of this disease.

Law of Cancer

On October 25 the President
Republic, Sebastián Piñera, announced that they would work on the Law of Cancer,
show as the starting point for implementing National Policy regarding
Cancer, which aims to ensure all Chilean care
appropriate and effective from the State and civil society at that time
face this disease.
