Argentina is preparing to make history by going from crisis to growth. This year a record new investment in renewable energy has been achieved resulting in large technological movements from China, Denmark, Japan, Germany, Italy and other latitudes. Clean Energy Data XXI confirms that there are currently 91 projects (17 in commercial operations and 74 in construction) representing 3,334 MW, with an estimated investment of 4 thousand 755 million dollars in full implementation.
"We set out to promote renewable energy and we consider a very specific commitment: that by 2025 20% of electricity demand will be covered by renewable energy and we are moving forward," President Mauricio Macri said recently, when visiting an Argentine factory producing wind turbines from the latest generation Vestas brand.
THIS IS A PARADIGM CHANGE.
Energy Minister Javier Iguacel has stressed that this is a paradigm shift because they promote large projects that have strategic interests but also daily self-consumption in changing homes for renewable options "This is a way to diversify the energy matrix across the country, switch to renewable and sustainable, each user understands that it will depend on them to save and produce their own energy.
17 projects in commercial operations for 418.3 MW of installed power and 611.5 million dollars in investment. While under construction, there are 74 projects with a total capacity of 2,916 MW.
