What Happened to Joaquin at Riverdale Season 3? The Best Fan Fans About Joaquin DeSantos

Pour one for Joaquin DeSantos, the sexiest snake ever. On Wednesday Riverdale, Jughead arrived back at the Serpent headquarters to find Joaquin's lifeless body under the tarpaulin with blue lips and the all-famous symbol of King Gargoyle on his beautiful face. "Joaquin," Jughead said, echoing all the emotions of Joaquin supporters.

Joaquin met his death not long after Archie stabbed in the back (OK but really, he stabbed his stomach) during the last big prison escape. There was a brief meeting of Joaquin and Kevin outside the prison gate, but Joaquin continued to run. Fast forward to Wednesday's episode: The snake with the most beautiful eyes confirmed that he had worked for Warden Norton, who himself worked for "a man in a black costume," aka Hiram.

At the end of the episode, it was confirmed that the symbol of King Gargoyle meant "sacrifice," making Joaquin himself a victim. But for what? Why does this cool Serpent story have to end? Did Joaquin really return to San Junipero? Or, as imagined by actor Rob Raco, are these just twins that people haven't talked about until now?
