Space Center H.R. MacMillan hold an epic spectacle party for one of the biggest heavenly shows in 2019.
The center remains open late at night for a total lunar eclipse, and offers special shows at the Star Theater Planetarium. They encourage visitors to learn more about the moon and eclipse and will open the observatory so that guests can examine the moon closely through the telescope. Moreover, the next total lunar eclipse will not occur until 2021, which makes this event very special.
However, if it is raining night, the center will provide direct eclipse feed at the Star Theater Planetarium.
The observatory is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., but there will be a Star Theater Planetarium show from 19:00 to 20:00. Of course, total eclipses occur between 8:41 and 21:43, so you will have time to see a show on the planetarium and visit the entire observatory.
