After a long search process, the police have confirmed that the body 'Max' Chukwudum has been found.

Police confirmed that Chukwudum's body was located in 5,000 Sherwood blocks Dr. on the night of December 21.

The 19-year-old international student from Nigeria was last seen on the morning of November 17 in the Marshall Crescent area.

The Chukwudum family and police have spent the past month searching for a large part of Regina's territory in search of traces. When he disappeared, the police believed that he could leave the house on Marshall Crescent on foot, and could seek refuge from temperatures below minus 20 degrees.

Police said they were waiting to announce this information to the public until Thursday to give time to their families. Regina Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are conducting a death investigation to better understand the state of his death, which they say could take months to complete.

Police said there was still part of the investigation that had to be resolved, but at this time they did not think Chukwudum's death was suspicious.
