The 26-year-old woman was killed in a collision at Anthony Henday Drive: Edmonton police – Edmonton



The Anthony Henday Drive southeast foot stretch was closed Friday night, after a single vehicle accident caused a young woman to die.

At around 9pm, a blue 2014 Hyundai Accent ends in a ditch west of Henday, under the 91 Street flyover.

Edmonton police said the vehicle floated out of the way and collided with the central cement bridge pillar.

A 26-year-old woman was killed in a single vehicle collision on the southeastern foot of Anthony Henday Drive Edmonton, on 91 Street, on Friday, December 28, 2018.

The 26-year-old woman who drove the car was killed at the scene, according to police and AHS. He is the only person in the car.

Debris from a badly damaged car can be seen scattered in the trenches and firefighters have covered the top of the car.

The stretch of road was closed briefly while police investigated.

The cause of the collision is unknown.
