Nokia 8.1 from HMD is not just about beauty, it has things in it that make this device quite capable and also makes it easy to recommend anyone looking for a clean Android with a budget around Rs. 27,000. And then there is the Nokia 8 whose price wise is very similar to 8.1 but performance wise, well there is a lot to discuss.
Nokia 8.1 vs Nokia 8 Plus: Price
Nokia 8 is currently valued Rs. 28,999 on the official Nokia website and Nokia 8.1 recently announced only available for Rs. 26,999. Effective price 8.1 also drops to 1 TB of data, an additional 10 percent discount from HDFC banks, and of course, keeps your screen broken in the first six months from the date of your purchase, thank you Service Partnership and HMD. Nokia 8 does not enjoy the privileges above.
You can enjoy up to 1TB of data only if you choose Airtel as your career. Read the terms and conditions here.
Nokia 8.1 vs Nokia 8 Plus: Display and Design
Nokia 8.1 is the second smartphone after 7.1 which is equipped with the PureDisplay feature. Imitating the Lumia Color Profile, which is one of the signature display features found on Lumia Windows Phones at the time, 8.1 did produce amazing results and if we talk about details, the results are better than the Nokia 8. However, the wise display quality is almost nothing seems to interest you. This makes the appearance of the Nokia 8 as attractive as Nokia 8.1 if you minus the PureDisplay effect from the equation.
If you don't consume too much media then the Nokia 8 is as good as Nokia 8.1 depending on user preferences. You can also see our video comparison below.
Nokia 8.1 vs Nokia 8 Plus: Camera
Nokia 8.1 captures images better than 8. Nokia 8.1 actually has a better camera than Nokia 7 Plus and 8 Sirocco, which in turn has a camera that is better than the Nokia 8. Nokia 8.1 on the front side has 20MP for selfie and in part behind, you find dual settings with 12MP + 13MP supported by Zeiss optics EIS, OIS.
The Nokia 8 camera is also equipped with all the above technologies such as OIS and EIS and of course Zeiss optics also exist. But the lag quality is lagging behind. It has a 13MP on the front for a selfie and two sets of 13MP + 13MP on the back.
Nokia 8.1 vs Nokia 8 Plus: Performance and battery
The Nokia 8 is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor that was once superior. And the fact that he has SD835, has full justice to the performance of the device. The Nokia 8.1 even though powered by SD710 doesn't handle heavy duty easily.
When you buy a device that costs close Rs. 30,000, the experience of playing decent games from that is not too much hope. Nokia 8 does a better job than 8.1 when it comes to launching or continuing the game. But once again it is so minimal that it is meaningless to anyone. Providing an incentive for axioms that SOC mainstay alone cannot be an X-factor when it comes to performance, Nokia 8.1 even with SD710 provides tough competition for the powerful Nokia 8.. You hardly see any delay in 8.1 compared to 8.
If not, Nokia 8.1 has a 3500 mAh battery source while the Nokia 8 manages only 3090 mAh. So, you can expect a good battery life from both.
