GREAT PLACE

Matt Duchene vs. Tyler Seguin

The highest center of the Senator was held without any use in Minnesota, but he has been on fire lately, and that is good news for Ottawa. If Duchene shoots all cylinders, and he spends a lot of time at the Western Conference, that is good news for Ottawa. The stars have a lot of injuries, but Seguin has seven goals and 21 points this season, so he will be the focus of the Senator.

FIVE KEY TO GAME

1 – BE SMART AT YOUR OWN ZONE

The senator spent a lot of skate on Thursday working on the defense side of the game. Their defense game must change so that they are consistently successful, and that's something they are looking for throughout the season. This will be a good test.

2 – STAR IN DIFFICULT

The senator needs to take advantage of the fact that Dallas does not currently have six injured players, including Ben Bishop. This is a good opportunity to get back on track before facing the hot Rangers on Monday.

3 – COMEBACK KIDS

You have to give credit to the Senator for fighting back from the third period 4-1 deficit on the road against Minny, but they are unable to dig a hole like that. The first strong period will greatly help the club.

4 – MURDER TIME

The penalty for Brady Tkachuk in the first period which produced a 3-0 goal by Liar was not a very good call. But the reality is that it allows Wild to score two power-play goals in the game, and that turns out to be the difference.

5 – STOP THE WAD JALAN

Coming from defeat to Wild, Senators 2-6-1 on the road this season and, if they will compete to get a playoff place, it must be improved. This is a difficult journey and the Senators need victory just to increase self-confidence.
