Fatal Collision Near Gladstone – PortageOnline.com

Earlier this day, Neepawa RCMP responded to a fatal collision between the SUV heading west and the ambulance heading east on Highway 16. The accident occurred between Neepawa and Gladstone. The single SUV driver was a 36-year-old woman from Winnipeg and was declared dead at the scene. The male ambulance driver is 37 years old, a female passenger is 37 years old, and a patient is currently in the Neepawa hospital.

Highway 16 was closed for some time this morning. However, now it's open.

RCMP believes that poor road conditions are a factor in collisions. Neepawa RCMP together with Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
