During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the snow will reach Belgium from the west, the Royal Meteorological Institute (MRI) warned.
This rush of snow will gradually spread to the west of the country and region along the French border. Wednesday morning, they can extend to the center, around to the Antwerp-Namur axis. On Wednesday mornings, they will gradually shift south.
By noon or evening, the weather generally becomes dry.
This snowfall area can provide new accumulations between 1 and 5 cm of fresh snow on the west of the Antwerp-Namur axis. In addition, conditions in most areas can become slippery due to freezing of some wet roads (hard ice or snow).
