Prince William and Duchess Kate want to meet the heroes of the Corona crisis on a train journey through Great Britain that lasts several days. Over the course of three days, the couple wants to travel 1,250 miles (more than 2,000 kilometers) through England, Scotland and Wales by royal train starting Sunday. and connecting with systemically important professionals and extraordinary people.
The pair wanted to “highlight the incredible work that has been done,” a spokesman said. For the Duchess of Cambridge (38), this must be the first official journey on a royal train. William, 38, by contrast, has traveled several times – including to the funeral of his mother, Princess Diana, in 1997.
