NEW YORK (AP-AFX) – The euro has softened on Tuesday. In New York trade, the common currency remained at the end of Europe's afternoon business level, with $ 1.1359 at the latest. The European Central Bank (ECB) has set a reference level at 1.1335 (Monday: 1.1362). The dollar costs 0.8807 (0.8801) euros. Both the surprisingly positive ZEW index and weak data from the US housing market caused a significant price reaction
