The item that grew the most in sales was cellular phones with 26.2%.
The number of registered credit and debit card transactions from year to year increased by 7.3% and 14.2%, respectively, reported Atacyc, a room from that sector, on Sunday.
The second item with the biggest growth was airline ticket purchases, with growth of 24.6% and 54.6%.
The total volume of registered turnover last month increased by 36.4% and 42%, he said.
Despite a strong increase in the total number of card transactions, the increase in percentage terms was below the cumulative inflation of the last twelve months measured by Indec, from 45.9%, he said.
In credit cards, the items that grew the most in sales were cellular telephones, with a 26.2% increase in the number of transactions and 57% in total.
In second place was the purchase of airplane tickets, with growth of 24.6% and 54.6%, respectively.
On the debit card side, the item with the most movement was Líneas Aéreas, with a 61.8% increase in the number of transactions and volume of 77.6%, followed by Payment Services, with an increase of 49, 8% and 101%, respectively.
On the other hand, items that show a setback with credit cards compared to October 2017 are Home Articles, with a 23.1% decrease in total transactions.
Meanwhile, on debit cards, items that reduce the number of their transactions are Furniture and Mattresses (-11.9%), Clothing and Footwear (-9.0%), and Household Goods (-8.0%).
