In the hands of Aerosol, Manu Ginóbili squatted to leave indelible marks on a plaza in the Saavedra neighborhood. Surrounded by spectators, the best Argentine basketball player in history came to see the La Copita basketball court who now carries his image on the floor and his signature.
The aerial view from the mural is very impressive. From the blue floor, the giant Manu Ginóbili appeared with number 20 Spurs shirt and with a thumbs up.
This Friday, when the first picture of a field renovation was announced, Ginóbili was surprised to appear there to meet him. He was not alone: when he saw some photos, he was accompanied by his three children.
Bahian, then, put his signature on a white spray and then recorded the ad campaign, which no further details were known. Before leaving, according to the Saavedra Online website, he greeted several neighbors.
A few meters from General Paz, and just behind Sarmiento Park, neighbors protect the square historically. In 2015, for example, they managed to stop the City Government project from installing a soccer field there. Officials have ordered to remove the giraffe and bow.
But, through a campaign on the Internet, the neighbors got signatures to back down with the idea and recondition the 3×3 basketball court.
Therefore, it is not surprising that there is now a Manu mural in one of the city's most symbolic spaces for playing basketball. The picture was made by artist Rodrigo Ojeda and the aim was to promote, of course, basketball practice.
