Chris Brown, a former partner of Rihanna, was arrested in Paris on charges of rape


American rapper Chris Brown was arrested Monday in Paris on suspicion of rape. A 24-year-old woman accused the singer of raping her on January 15 at a luxury hotel in the French capital. There were two other people in detention who the girl also accused of abusing her, one of whom was believed to be the bodyguard of the artist, police said.

Brown allegedly invited the complainant to his room at the Mandarin Oriental hotel after meeting him at a nearby nightclub. There, allegedly the story of the victim, he found other young people in the "suite", but at one point he was taken to a room where alleged rape occurred, reporting on the French edition of the magazine Closer Magazine.

Brown has had legal problems since 2009 when he pleaded guilty to assault and made death threats against Rihanna, who at the time was his girlfriend..
