Asif's innings are the life jackets needed by the Blitz, after being reduced to 83 for 5 by cunning spin Keshav Maharaj; by the time he finished, Asif had cut the required level of hefty 12.40 to run the ball. An extraordinary 19th above by Marchant de Lange left the Heat hanging on a glimmer of little hope, but the first ball shot from the next round, when Kyle Abbott overpitched outside off and Siboto Malusi swung the cover drive for all but sealed the game.
