Gladiators provide unmatched capabilities with the best-in-class pullers and 4×4 payload capacity, creating driving dynamics on the road and passenger safety.

The legendary off-road capability comes from the Command-Trac and Rock-Trac 4×4 system, the third generation Axle Dana 44, Tru-Lock electric front and rear-axle locker, Trac-Lok limited-slip differential, segment-exclusive swing -bar disconnect and 33 off-road tires.

Jeep Gladiator 2020 is available in various trim configurations: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon. Built in Toledo, Ohio, the all-new 2020 Jeep Gladiator arrived at US showrooms in the second quarter of 2019.

A modern take on an authentic Jeep design

The Gladiator offers a rugged and prominent design aesthetic that is immediately recognized by traditional Jeep design cues.

The Jeep design team stores seven legendary slot lattices seen in the Wrangler but extends the grille slot for additional air intake to help with increased towing capacity. The top of the key shaped grating is gently swept back to improve aerodynamics.

The Overland and Rubicon Gladiator models offer available LED headlamps and fog lamps that project clean white lighting, adding to the modern look of the truck.

The Gladiator model is equipped with LEDs that display daytime running lights, which form a halo outside the headlight perimeter. The forward turn signal is positioned in front of the trapezoidal wheel flare.

From the back, traditional square tail lights have available LED lighting and wide open the trunk door to move cargo to the bed. This truck body is wet and able to stop in three positions, while cargo is easily secured with a power-locking tailgate.

Smart function and versatility are the focus when designing a durable Gladiator bed to streamline usability. Bed lighting under rail, available external enclosed resources (115W 115-volt, three-branch) and integrated integrated tie, providing durability and versatility. The available Cargo Trail Rail Management System provides additional storage options for managing and securing cargo.

Full size spare tires and mounts are located under the bed, behind the rear axle, and are capable of holding up to 35 "tires.

An available spray bed liner, bed divider and tonneau cover provide more options to maintain cargo security while helping with durability. The Rubicon Gladiator model is equipped with cabin protectors and cargo bedrock rails.

Resilient and on duty

The four bolt design at the top of the windshield frame allows the windshield to fold down quickly and easily. A header bar connects the A-pillar and stays in place even when the windshield is folded down.

This allows the rear view mirror to stay in place even with the windshield folded. Fake two-piece body fenders with black bottom inserts provide an enhanced profile and are standard in Overland and are available on Rubicon models.

A lightweight, high-strength aluminum door displays a Torx bit size that is stamped directly onto the hinge to eliminate the alleged bit size needed to release the door. A toolkit with Torx bits needed to lift the door and lower the windshield is provided as standard equipment.

All Gladiators feature body-colored sports bars, which are welded to the body and equipped with integrated grip handles for front occupants.

The premium Sunrider soft top provides an exclusive segment-open easy option, which helps to reduce wind noise and allows access to the top position partially and fully open. Soft top has followers that slide onto the track to easily remove the rear window.

The Overland and Rubicon Gladiator models share a selection of available three-part color hardtops, offering a unique premium appearance, while the black three-part hardtop, available on all models, offers more options for outdoor driving. Two Freedom panels and quick release latches allow fast removal and installation of hardtops. All hardtops have a manual rear sliding window.

Dozens of different door, top and windshield combinations allow for unlimited configuration possibilities.

Premium features and technology

The Gladiator's interior combines authentic style, versatility, comfort and use of intuitive features. Precision workmanship and high-quality materials are found throughout the cabin.

Heritage-inspired center piles have a clean and sculpted shape that complements the horizontal dash design and sports determined by the choice of the model. A hand-wrapped instrument panel has a soft touch surface with stitch accents on the Overland Gladiator and is available in the Rubicon model.

Functional features, including climate and volume control buttons, media loading and connectivity ports, and Engine Stop-Start (ESS) controls are all made for a quick and easy introduction to front seat passengers.

Inboard and outboard circular HVAC vents are surrounded by a platinum chrome bezel for precise and premium appearance but are rugged with full functionality.

Jeep's functionality and flexibility are celebrated on the center console and are distinguished by metal-plated accents. The center console has a choice of shift gears, transfer bags and parking brakes. Real bolts displayed on shifter, grab handles and infotainment screen frames highlight the original construction method.

The push-button starter, which features weather resistant surrounds, is standard on the 2020 Gladiator and is easily found within the driver's reach.

Fabrics or leather seats have stitch accents and adjustable bolster and lumbar support. Available comfort features include a heated front seat and steering wheel.

The all-new rear seats feature high-quality premium materials that provide an athletic look that also provides comfort and support. The rear seat, exclusive to the Gladiator, features the front-facing rear legroom in its segment and uses a unique design that can be locked in place to provide safe storage behind the seat back. The rear seat can be folded flat to access the rear cabin storage and provides a load floor for larger items.

With the rear seats folded flat, the LED lights on the quarter trim panel illuminate the storage space behind the seats. Two storage nets on the rear cabin wall provide safer storage.

Smart storage solutions are found throughout Gladiator 2020, including durable mesh bags that extend the entire length of the door and many areas of cellphone storage.

The back seat cushion can be folded into a "stadium" position to open a standard open storage area, which utilizes the space under the seat to store various items.

An optional locking tray provides safe storage space when the top or door is removed. The lockable storage available has two different size doors that match the 60/40 split rear seat cushion. A removable divider can provide up to five separate compartments and use the same key as the glove box and center console.

Gladiator offers a 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine proven at launch with the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine offered in 2020.

The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine produces 209kW and 260Nm of torque and the Engine Stop-Start (ESS) feature as standard. It is engineered to provide a wide torque band with a focus on low-end torque – important properties needed for extreme off-road.

The six-speed manual transmission is standard on all Gladiator models equipped with the Pentastar V6, and the eight-speed automatic transmission is optional.

Known for its refinement, power, efficiency and adaptability, the Company has produced more than 8.6 million Pentastar V6 engines since production began in 2010.

This benefits from the popular low-range V6 engine torque, which is needed when out on the road or during demanding conditions such as transporting cargo or pulling trailers.

The gladiator model will offer an EcoDiesel V6 engine, which is rated at 183kW and 442Nm of torque, with the Engine Stop-Start (ESS) standard. The eight-speed automatic transmission is standard and is designed to handle increased torque output. This will be available starting in 2020.

US FCA engineers adapted the engine – designed and manufactured by FCA EMEA – to meet the regulatory requirements of the NAFTA region.

The EcoDiesel V6 engine applies refined turbocharger technology with low friction bearings designed for low-end and transient performance.

Gladiator offers an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the vehicle to optimize engine output while on the trail or enjoy smooth and efficient power delivery at highway speeds. Eight speed automatic is available in all Jeep Gladiator models.

The eight-speed automatic transmission Gladiator offers a responsive driving experience. Whether on a week-long commuter trip or transporting rocks or transporting cargo on weekends, customers will enjoy smooth, linear power delivery and improved fuel efficiency.

A unique set of two overdrive ratios improves highway fuel economy and reduces overall noise, vibration and roughness (NVH) levels.

All Gladiator models are equipped with a standard six-speed manual transmission. This transmission has a unique design that uses an optimized gear ratio for the performance of the crawl ratio that is reinforced and operated by cable, thus eliminating vibration dampers and strengthening sound insulation.

The shift pattern features a convenient shift position and bolster shift accuracy. 4.41 ratio ratio offers impressive fuel efficiency at higher speeds and provides fast acceleration with smooth and precise shift quality.

Gladiators provide legendary off-road capabilities thanks to two advanced 4×4 systems. Both Command-Trac and Rock-Trac systems offer full-time torque management, enabling optimal grip in low traction conditions.

A Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential on Sport and Overland provides extra torque and grip during slippery, low-traction situations, such as driving on sand, gravel, snow or ice.

The Sport, Overland and Rubicon Gladiator models receive Trail Rated badges thanks to the legendary 4×4 Jeep capabilities. It uses a variety of ways to optimize driving, handling and sound characteristics while strengthening fuel economy even when pulling and transporting.

Utilizing a body-on-frame design and featuring a superbly designed five-link suspension system, Gladiator provides capabilities, with the composition of the dynamics of driving on the road, the best passenger safety and puller in its class and 4×4 payload capacity.

The use of lightweight high-strength aluminum covers, including doors, door hinges, bonnets, fender flares, windshield frames and tailgate assistance reduces weight and improves fuel economy. Another way the Jeep engineering team is looking to manage the weight includes using a hollow track and stabilizer rod, aluminum engine mounts and steering gear.

The springs have been set for optimal balance between on-road handling while providing a comfortable ride around the city, with or without cargo on the bed, and legendary off-road capabilities.

Driving comfort, body-roll control, handling capability, payload and towing are significantly enhanced with the help of shock tuning, hardpoint, and body mount strategies.

Gladiators also benefit from up to 30 "forge water, up to 725kg of load and up to 3 469kg crane capacity with the available Max Towing Package.

Safety and security are very important in the development of the Gladiator, which offers more than 80 active and passive safety and security features available.

Available features include Blind-spot Monitoring and detection of Rear Cross Path and front-facing off-road cameras, standard ParkView rear camera with dynamic grid lines, Adaptive Cruise Control, and electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation.

It also offers three Uconnect – Uconnect 5-, 7 "and 8.4NAV systems, providing communication, entertainment and navigation driver features and passenger desires, including a full-color LED instrument cluster.

Android Auto also makes it easy to access popular applications and content from the Uconnect system touch screen.

Drivers and passengers also have many infotainment features at their fingertips with SiriusXM Radio, Travel Link, Traffic, and Connected Services that provide real-time information.
